Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-01 · This page is available in English and Chinese only.

This policy explains what CCDub collects, why, and what you can do about it. The principle is simple: only what running the service actually requires.

1. What we collect

Account details — the email address, display name, and avatar supplied by our shared account service when you sign in. If you sign in with a third party such as Google, that is all we receive; we never see your password.

Subscription and order data — plan, validity period, and order status. Card details are handled by the payment providers and never reach or rest on our systems.

Usage data — counts and timestamps of translation and dubbing calls, plus the extension version, used to enforce quotas and diagnose faults.

An anonymous identifier generated by the extension when you are not signed in, used to distinguish devices and meter the free tier. It is not linked to your real identity.

2. What we do not collect

We do not store the videos you watch, the subtitle text produced for you, or any profile of your viewing history.

Audio recorded for voice cloning is used only to build the voice you asked for. It is not used to train general models and is not shared with third parties.

3. Why we collect it

To run and maintain the service, to recognise your paid status and unlock the matching features, to meter the free tier, and to investigate faults and prevent abuse.

We do not use your personal data for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.

4. Who else sees it

Payments — Creem (as merchant of record) and WeChat Pay process transactions under their own privacy policies.

Translation and speech — subtitle text is sent to the relevant providers so the translation and dubbing can be produced.

Infrastructure — the site and its APIs run on Vercel, with a database provided by Neon, both located in the United States.

Beyond what is necessary to provide the service, and what the law requires, we do not disclose your data to third parties.

5. How long we keep it

Account and order data is kept while your account exists; order records may be kept longer where tax and accounting rules require it.

Usage logs are kept only for the short period needed to diagnose problems.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, withdraw consent, and close your account. Email jiayiqiu@qhkly.com.

Closing your account deletes your personal data, except order records we are required to retain for tax and accounting purposes.

7. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes and contact

Updates are reflected in the "Last updated" date on this page.

For privacy questions or requests, contact jiayiqiu@qhkly.com.

9. Operator

CCDub is developed and operated by JIA YIQIU, an independent software developer based in Beijing, China.
